HOW TO USE
Mix up in a jug or watering can and pour around base of pot. Do not water for 1-2 hours to allow contact time with the insects.
HOW MUCH TO USE
The dilution rate is 20ml per litre for aggressive infestations and 10ml per litre (½ strength) as general strength or as a preventative.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
A 200ml bottle makes up 10 litres of drench at aggressive strength or 20 litres at general strength. You will need approximately 1ltr per pot for 20ltr to 30ltr pots.
WILL THIS DO IT BY ITSELF?
Eradicator is not residual and will only kill the larvae so we recommend using yellow sticky traps on the surface of the growing media, and/or some kind of plant friendly aerosol such as ER – ZERO TOLERANCE Herbal Spray Mite and Fungus Gnat Rid 450g to kill the adult population and break the cycle.
Scarid 10 can be used at 30ml per litre as a surface spray to kill adults attempting to lay their eggs. This should be done every 7 days.
Diatomacious Earth is also useful if placed about 30mm deep across the surface of a medium. When crawling insects come in contact with diatomaceous earth, it is much like crawling across shards of broken glass. These fossilized diatoms have very sharp edges allowing the diatomaceous earth to kill insects by lacerating their exoskeletons and dehydrating them.
Inlet filters can be used on inlet fans (indoor growers) to prevent insects being drawn into the growing area in the future. These filters can also help with airborne mould spores and pollen.
It takes about 30 days for populations to build back up to bad levels so even in damp warm climates, two treatments per cycle – or approx 30 days – when necessary should be effective for controlling the problem.
AFTER TREATMENT
Flushing is not necessary, but recommended for removal of dead insects at a convenient time. If root damage is indicated, Pythoff is recommended to prevent or treat root infections from the insect damage.
