A perforated internal platform separates the growing area from the stored water. Water can be added through the lower opening using the removable terracotta filling lip, allowing the reservoir to be refilled without disturbing the plant.

How to Use
- Position the wick through the perforated base so part of it remains in the reservoir and part contacts the growing medium.
- Add an appropriate potting mix and plant as normal.
- Water thoroughly from the top after planting to settle the mix and establish moisture around the wick.
- Insert the removable filling lip into the lower opening.
- Add water to the reservoir through the filling opening.
- Check and refill the reservoir as required.
Refill frequency will vary according to the plant variety, temperature, light levels and growing medium. Plants that prefer to dry substantially between waterings, including many cacti and succulents, may not be suited to continuously filled self-watering systems.
